The Nationalities Senior Center with the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging provide an opportunity to come together for senior citizens of diverse heritages. There are people who are isolated from services due to language and cultural differences. Senior Services benefit from our program. It provides a way into the system of available social services.

Our clients represent a multitude of heritages and languages: African-American, Indonesian, Korean, Chinese, Southeastern Asian Ukrainian, Russian, Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian and Irish. The focus is on developing strategies for successful multi-group programming and assisting immigrant and refugee seniors, and others who are isolated, in accessing services.

Programs are especially designed to enhance the interaction of the participants, offer specific life skills, and create an active and relaxed atmosphere. The programs provide a space where people can come together, enjoy each other and care for one another.
