Education

NSC’s Education Department offers classes in English as a Second Language (ESL) to adult immigrants and refugees to help them succeed as workers and members of the community. Students’ language skills are assessed and they are placed in one of seven levels of ESL classes.

All our classes are taught by highly motivated, well-trained volunteer teachers who help students gain a richer understanding of U.S. culture and society.

For more information about off-site ESL and Spanish language classes, as well as teacher training  and teacher certification classes, please contact at epolsky@nscphila.org. NSC is an Act48 accredited site by the PA Department of Education.

Please call (215) 893-8400 for information on course fees and scholarships.

Give Today! $150 provides one 10-week scholarship to a student who could otherwise not afford to learn English. Indicate “ESL Scholarships” in the designation field.
