Nationalities Service Center’s Education Department offers classes in English as a Second Language (ESL) to adult immigrants and refugees to help them succeed as workers and members of the community. Students’ language skills are assessed and they are placed in one of seven levels of ESL classes.

All our classes are taught by highly motivated, well-trained volunteer teachers who help students gain a richer understanding of U.S. culture and society.

Nationalities Service Center is happy to announce our new Foreign Language Classes! Beginning this summer, we will be offering Spanish, Arabic, French, and Chinese classes in addition to our regular ongoing ESL classes. Classes will focus on listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary skills. The lessons also incorporate cultural information. We are also excited to announce that we will be offering a two week intensive ESL class this summer between June 11th and June 22nd. Please see our full course schedule and fees for more details.
