Text Box: The Refugee Assistance Program (RAP) is a new service now being offered by NSC.  This State Grant issued to NSC specifically targets the employment needs of refugees and asylees by providing job placement as well as job development skills.  Services include job search skills, resume building, interview preparation, job upgrades and more.  RAP caters to refugees and immigrants who have been in the U.S. for less than 5 years and live in Chester or Montgomery counties and to those who have lived in the U.S. for less then one year and live in Philadelphia County.  Focusing on employment needs, RAP uses a holistic approach in achieving the desired goal of self sufficiency.     Below is our flyer regarding this program

Nationalities Service Center (NSC) is now working in your area to provide employment services to 
refugees and asylees free of charge 
and other immigrants for a fee of $40-$60.
 
Services available include:
· Job placement and readiness assistance
· Conducting your job search 
· Providing referrals to possible employers
· Helping you create a resume and preparing for job interviews
· Enrollment in English as a Second Language (ESL) classes 
· Enrollment in other job training programs and other services as needed
